Community Survey Results

The San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) presented three possible median designs for the Fifth and Kirkham traffic-calming project at UCSF’s August 24 community meeting.  UCSF and DPW distributed neighbor surveys for feedback on the design concepts at the community meeting, and UCSF also notified neighbors of the survey through our neighborhood list-serve.

The survey results showed overwhelming support for the median at the intersection of Fifth and Kirkham to be comprised of San Francisco cobblestones.  The finished median will look similar to the design below:

A community meeting was held on August 29, 2012, and was attended by 40 neighbors. Fehr & Peers presented the neighbors’ intersection changes, as well as revisions to them, that both Fehr & Peers & SFMTA felt might better serve the neighborhood.
